셀수없는명사
오늘은 토익에서 자주 출제되는 명사편에서 부정관사를 붙이거나 복수형을 쓸 수 없는 셀 수 없는 명사와 명사 앞에 쓰이는 한정사에 대해서 알아보고자 합니다.
대부분의 단어가 셀 수 있는 명사이므로 셀 수 없는 명사 위주로 외우는 것이 편리합니다. 대표적으로 많이 나오는 단어가 information, equipment, furniture, clothing, advice, luggage, baggage, machinery, jewelry, merchandise, access, care 등이 있는데 한국말로는 복수가 가능하여 혼동하기 쉬운 명사들입니다.
또한 이러한 셀 수 없는 명사 앞에는 much, much of, little, a little, less, least, an amount of, the amount of, a deal of 등의 양을 나타내는 단어가 올 수 있습니다.
반면 셀 수 있는 복수명사 앞에는 many, many of, few, a few, fewer, several, various, both, numerous, a number of, the number of, a variety of, one of, each of, other, these, those 등이 있습니다.
셀 수 있는 복수명사 앞 또는 셀 수 없는 명사 앞에 모두 쓰이는 한정사로는 all, some. most, enough, a lot of, lots of, plenty of, other 등이 있습니다.
